We can recycle your old appliance for you when we deliver your new one, all we ask is that it’s disconnected from any supplies, drained of any excess water, and it’s clean and ready to go at the delivery point when we arrive.

When delivering your new appliance we can take the old one away for just £25 and recycle it on your behalf. Simply tick the Recycle box in the shopping basket and make sure it’s disconnected from any supplies, drained of any excess water, and it’s clean and ready to go at the delivery point when we arrive.
Recycle It Yourself
If you plan to recycle your appliance yourself, you can find your nearest designated collection facility here… RecycleMore however, we are part of the Distributor Take back Scheme (DTS) and will do it for you for just £25. Save yourself the hassle!
Refuse Pick Up
Your local councils can arrange for your old appliances to be picked up and recycled on your behalf. Some offer this service for free, however some charge up to £50. Check with your local council, our recycling service could save you money!
What Happens To My Old Appliance?
It all depends on the appliance, cooling appliances are sent to remove cooling gases and treat insulation foam. Other items such as washing machines, tumble dryers etc are separated for metal to be recycled and the rest recovered.
What is WEEE?
The Waste Electrical or Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive requires countries to maximise separate collection and environmentally friendly processing of these items. In the UK, distributors (including retailers) must provide a system which allows all customers buying new electrical equipment the opportunity to recycle their old items free of charge.
Those establishing their own take‐back scheme must as a minimum offer all customers buying new electrical equipment free take back of their old electrical’s on a like‐for‐like basis.
Why Recycle?
Unwanted electrical equipment is the UKs fastest growing type of waste. Many electrical items can be repaired or recycled, saving natural resources and the environment. If you do not recycle, electrical equipment will end up in landfill where hazardous substances will leak out and cause soil and water contamination – harming wildlife and also human health.
When delivering your new appliance we can take away the old one away and recycle it on your behalf. Simply tick the Recycle box in the shopping basket and make sure it’s disconnected and out of position when we get there. We do levy a small transportation charge of £25 for this service.
We can also offer a free in store take back of your old electrical appliance on a like for like basis. For example, if you purchase a washing machine from us, you can return your old washing machine to our showroom. This can be done within 28 days of your purchase. You will be responsible for any carriage charges incurred.

To remind you that old electrical equipment can be recycled, it is now marked with a crossed‐out wheeled bin symbol. Please do not throw any electrical equipment (including those marked with the crossed out wheeled bin symbol) in your bin.
