Installation

If you’re purchasing a new appliance, you might also be wondering who’s going to connect it for you. In most cases our fully trained installation team can install at the same time as delivery. We’ll make sure everything is up and running before we go, leaving you to enjoy your new product straight away!

Freestanding laundry and dishwashers:

We can connect your new freestanding washing machine, washer dryer, tumble dryer or dishwasher at the point of delivery so that you’re set up and ready to go! We can even disconnect the old machine and recycle it on your behalf for a small fee.

Please check the details below thoroughly in order to avoid a failed installation. If we are unable to complete your installation for reasons outside of our control, you will still be charged for the visit.

As part of our freestanding laundry and dishwasher installation service, we will:

  • Disconnect and remove your old appliance (if you have added the recycling option to your order, we’ll take the old one away)
  • Unpack your new appliance, remove & recycle the external packaging and remove any transit bolts
  • Connect the new appliance to your existing pipework or electrical supply
  • Position and level your new appliance
  • Test to make sure that the appliance is fully operational

To make sure your installation goes smoothly please ensure the following:

  • That the new appliance will fit into the existing space
  • That we’re able to connect to your existing water supply and waste outlet
  • The electricity supply is within 1 metre of the new appliance location
  • The electricity supply is from a standard outlet and not an extension lead
  • Easy access to the isolation valve so that we can turn off the water supply
  • Ensure that the water cut-off valve can be turned on and off

We will NOT be able to do the following:

  • Make any alteration to existing plumbing or electrical connections
  • Extend any electrical or plumbing supplies
  • Connect the appliance if it puts the fitter or customer at risk
  • Connect two into one plumbing or electrical connections
  • Stack two appliances on top of each other (with or without a stacking kit)
  • Alter any part of the customer’s property to gain access
  • Connect the appliance if it doesn’t meet safety guidelines
  • Make alterations to worktops or cabinets including cutting or drilling
