Kitchen Trends 2020: Industrial Style
When it comes to kitchen trends, the industrial look has become a firm favourite in recent times. Due to the popularity of modern, pared back designs, more and more Pinterest boards have become filled with exposed brickwork and sleek appliances…
Defined by raw materials and metallic details, the industrial style has moved from commercial kitchens into our homes. Striking focal points and easy maintenance designs are just some of the reasons we love this look. Here we take a closer look at our customer Rebecca’s kitchen to give you some serious style industrial style inspiration…
Light and Bright
The use of light plays a key factor in this stunning design. Sky lights let in much more natural light, allowing Rebecca to make bold choices in terms of her colour scheme. The Stone Blue Shaker style cabinets compliment the Istone Calcutta quartz worktops perfectly. Combining natural textures and tones including; wooden flooring, exposed brickwork and quartz worktops brings a modern, authentic feel to the kitchen.
All in the Detail
Simple touches make all the difference in this design. From the brass handles to the bespoke storage options, Rebecca has paid attention to every detail to ensure her kitchen is practical as well as stylish. Large industrial lighting creates a focal point over the island and ties in perfectly with the black Quooker tap.
Shop the Appliances…
A Smeg Victoria range cooker provides all the oven space you need to create lots of tasty dinners. This induction hob model is energy efficient and easy to wipe clean after use. The classic style of this cooker will look great in your kitchen for years to come. Rebecca chose the white finish to tie in with her white quartz worktops and we think it works perfectly with her crisp colour scheme.
Not only does the Quooker Flex look fantastic, you can enjoy boiling water in an instant. This means no more waiting for the kettle to boil! Another handy feature is the pull out hose which is ideal for rinsing and preparing vegetables. Rebecca chose the black finish on this striking 3-in-1 Quooker boiling water tap to match her industrial style lighting. We think its a perfect match!
Rebecca chose a spacious Samsung American style fridge freezer that boasts a 617 litre capacity. That’s plenty of space for fresh food and drinks! SpaceMax Technology™ utilises the internal space to create lots of useful storage options and thanks to Twin Cooling Plus™ food can be kept fresh for up to twice as long. The sleek stainless steel finish is a perfect match for this industrial style kitchen.
To continue the sleek design of the kitchen, Rebecca opted for integrated appliances including her Neff dishwasher. Hidden behind her beautiful cabinet door, the 60cm dishwasher boasts an A++ energy rating and six wash programmes including a quick wash option. Another useful feature is the InfoLight which projects light onto the floor to indicate when the dishwasher is in operation.
