Installation
If you’re purchasing a new appliance, you might also be wondering who’s going to connect it for you. In most cases our fully trained installation team can install at the same time as delivery. We’ll make sure everything is up and running before we go, leaving you to enjoy your new product straight away!
Please note our connection service is not available above ground floor level. If you do require this service above ground floor we do have trusted partners who may be able to offer this service. Please contact a member of our sales team for more information.
Freestanding laundry and dishwashers:
We can connect your new freestanding washing machine, washer dryer, tumble dryer or dishwasher at the point of delivery so that you’re set up and ready to go! We can even disconnect the old machine and recycle it on your behalf for a small fee.
Please check the details below thoroughly in order to avoid a failed installation. If we are unable to complete your installation for reasons outside of our control, you will still be charged for the visit.
As part of our freestanding laundry and dishwasher installation service, we will:
- Disconnect and remove your old appliance (if you have added the recycling option to your order, we’ll take the old one away)
- Unpack your new appliance, remove & recycle the external packaging and remove any transit bolts
- Connect the new appliance to your existing pipework or electrical supply
- Position and level your new appliance
- Test to make sure that the appliance is fully operational
To make sure your installation goes smoothly please ensure the following:
- That the new appliance will fit into the existing space
- That we’re able to connect to your existing water supply and waste outlet
- The electricity supply is within 1 metre of the new appliance location
- The electricity supply is from a standard outlet and not an extension lead
- Easy access to the isolation valve so that we can turn off the water supply
- Ensure that the water cut-off valve can be turned on and off
We will NOT be able to do the following:
- Make any alteration to existing plumbing or electrical connections
- Extend any electrical or plumbing supplies
- Connect the appliance if it puts the fitter or customer at risk
- Connect two into one plumbing or electrical connections
- Alter any part of the customer’s property to gain access
- Connect the appliance if it doesn’t meet safety guidelines
- Make alterations to worktops or cabinets including cutting or drilling
- Disconnect or connect any hard wired (no plug) appliance
- Connect to any electrical outlet that requires the plug to be cut off or removed
Integrated laundry, dishwashers & refrigeration:
Integrated appliances including dishwashers, laundry and refrigeration are installed by our specialist installation partner and need to be arranged over the phone with our sales team. This service includes disconnection and removal of the old appliance for recycling. We may ask you to send us a photograph of your existing appliance to ensure that we are supplying a suitable replacement.
Please check the details below thoroughly in order to avoid a failed installation. If we are unable to complete your installation for reasons outside of our control, you will still be charged for the visit.
Our integrated laundry, refrigeration and dishwasher installation service includes:
- Unpacking your new appliance and removing any transit bolts if required
- Disconnecting and removing the old appliance to be recycled
- Positioning and levelling your new appliance
- Removing all of the packaging to be recycled
- Testing to make sure that the appliance is fully operational
To make sure your installation goes smoothly please ensure the following:
- That the new appliance will fit into the existing space
- That we’re able to connect to your existing water supply and waste outlet
- The electricity supply is within 1 metre of the new appliance location
- The electricity supply is from a standard outlet and not an extension lead
- Easy access to the isolation valve so that we can turn off the water supply
- Please check the hinge type to ensure the new product has the same type of fixing i.e. sliding or fixed hinge.
- If you’re ordering a new integrated appliance please double check your furniture door sizes to ensure they are compatible with your new appliance
- Ensure that the water cut-off valve can be turned on and off
We will NOT be able to do the following:
- Make any alteration to existing plumbing or electrical connections
- Extend any electrical or plumbing supplies
- Connect the appliance if it puts the fitter or customer at risk
- Connect two into one plumbing or electrical connections
- Alter any part of the customer’s property to gain access
- Connect the appliance if it doesn’t meet safety guidelines
- Make alterations to worktops or cabinets including cutting or drilling
- Disconnect or connect any hard wired (no plug) appliance
- Connect to any electrical outlet that requires the plug to be cut off or removed
To arrange installation of an integrated appliance, you’ll need to call our sales team
American Style Fridge Freezers:
Please check the details below thoroughly in order to avoid a failed installation. If we are unable to complete your installation for reasons outside of our control, you will still be charged for the visit.
As part of our American style fridge freezer installation service, we will:
- Disconnect and remove your old appliance (if you have added the recycling option to your order, we’ll take the old one away)
- Unpack your new appliance and recycle the packaging
- Connect the new appliance to your existing pipework and electrical supply

Range Cookers and Freestanding Cookers:

If we are unable to complete your installation for reasons outside of our control, you will still be charged for the visit. We may ask you to send us a photograph of your existing appliance to ensure that we are supplying a suitable replacement.
When you’re having a new gas, electric or dual fuel cooker fitted, the service from our trusted installation partners will include the following:
- They will contact you prior to the installation date to conduct a site survey
- Disconnecting and removing the old appliance, taking it away to be recycled
- Unpacking your new appliance and recycling the packaging
- Connecting your new cooker using your existing pipework and electrical supply
- Ensuring all electrical and gas regulations are observed
- Testing to make sure that the appliance is fully operational
To make sure your installation goes smoothly please ensure the following:
- The new appliance will fit into the existing space
- That we’re able to connect to your existing electrical or gas supply
- The electricity supply is within 1 metre of the new appliance location
- You have the correct electrical supply as per the manufacturer’s requirements
- Your electrical and/or gas connections meet the current legal requirements
We will NOT be able to do the following:
- Make any alterations to gas or electrical connections
- Extend any electrical supplies and will not connect to an existing extension
- Connect the appliance if it puts the fitter or the customer at risk
- Connect two into one plumbing or electrical connections
- Alter any part of the customer’s property to gain access
- Connect the appliance if it doesn’t meet safety guidelines
- Make alterations to worktops or cabinets
Please note installations can only be made to domestic gas and electrical connections
To arrange installation on a freestanding cooker, you’ll need to call our sales team
Built in Ovens:
Please check the details below thoroughly in order to avoid a failed installation. If we are unable to complete your installation for reasons outside of our control, you will still be charged for the visit. We may ask you to send us a photograph of your existing appliance to ensure that we are supplying a suitable replacement.
Our trusted installation partners will provide the following service:
- Disconnect your old appliance and take it away to be recycled
- Unpack your new appliance and recycle the packaging
- Install your new appliance and connect it to your existing supply
- Ensure all electrical and gas regulations are followed
- Test the appliance to make sure it is fully operational
To make sure your installation goes smoothly please ensure the following:
- The supply is already in place and is within 1 metre of the new appliance location
- You have sufficient power supply for the new appliance as required by the manufacturer
- The dimensions of your appliance are suitable for the existing space
- That the type of oven you’ve chosen is suitable for your existing space
- That we’re able to connect to your existing electrical or gas supply and these meet the current legal requirements
We will NOT be able to do the following:
- Make any alterations to gas or electrical connections
- Extend any electrical supplies and will not connect to an existing extension
- Connect the appliance if it puts the fitter or the customer at risk
- Connect two into one plumbing or electrical connections
- Alter any part of the customer’s property to gain access
- Connect the appliance if it doesn’t meet safety guidelines
- Make alterations to worktops or cabinets

Televisions:
Please check the details below thoroughly in order to avoid a failed installation. If we are unable to complete your installation for reasons outside of our control, you will still be charged for the visit.
Our TV (Set up only) installation service includes:
- Unpacking and assembly of your TV and removal of packaging
- Mounting your new TV on its stand
- Connecting your TV to your Wi-fi network
- Demonstration to show that picture and sound are working fully
Our TV (Set up and removal of existing) installation service includes:
- Unpacking and assembly of your TV and removal of packaging
- Disconnection and removal of existing TV (stand only)
- Mounting your new TV on its stand
- Connecting your TV to your Wi-fi network
- Demonstration to show that picture and sound are working fully
These services do NOT include the following:
- Wall mounting your new TV
- Running the cables into trunking or through walls etc.
What you’ll need to do before we arrive:
- Check that you’ve got the right cables, including any HDMI or power leads
- There’s a power socket nearby (within 1.5m)
- You’ve got your Wi-fi network name and password to hand for a Smart TV set-up
Please be aware all installers will take photos prior to and after the connection for our records.
